Homework for the Week of November 7th

Important Reminders This is a start of a new trimester.  Let's clear our slates and start fresh.  There is a math test on Chapter 11 Test Monday the 14th!  Progress notes come home on Monday.  Please make sure your child is studying for their vocabulary test each Friday as there are 20 words!  They may take their vocabulary notebook home each night to study them, but they must return to school the next day.  Conference forms should have come home.  Please see if the time and day work for you and return the bottom portion to school.  Conference week is November 14th-17th. Friday is Veteran's Day and we observe it as a holiday.

Monday:  Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 8 Lesson 2, and write all 25 spelling words 3 times each.

Tuesday:  Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 8 Lesson 3, and write all 25 spelling word in a sentence (please underline the spelling word).

Wednesday:  Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, and study for the vocabulary and spelling test tomorrow!

*Papers that should be turned in on Friday are:  all reading log pages, the fluency paper, and the homework from Thursday night.

Have a great week!

  1. Julie,

My child states there is no math homework for Wednesday 11/09/11. Is this true? Inquiring moms want to know :^)
