Hello Families,
Important notices: Progress reports will be coming home soon! We have complete MUTA testing for Theme 1, so we will be moving on to Theme 2. Tomas and the Library Lady is the story for the week. I recommend that students bring home their vocabulary notebooks nightly to practice their 20 words for their test on Friday! Also, we will taking the Chapter 6 Math test this week. Please go over the concepts with your child to make sure they understand them. I do have the Math book website on my blog under Favorite Links so you can check it out. There are lessons and games for the concepts we are working on.
Monday: Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 4 Lesson 3, and write all 25 spelling words 3 times each.
Tuesday: Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 4 Lesson 4, and write all 25 spelling word in a sentence (please underline the spelling word).
Wednesday: Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 4 Lesson 5, and write all 25 spelling words in alphabetical order.
Thursday: Do a fluency read for 1 minute with an adult and mark on fluency paper, read from a book of your choice for 15 minutes then write a 5 (or more if you choose) sentence summary about what you read, complete the math page for Chapter 5 Lesson 1, and study for the spelling test tomorrow!
*Papers that should be turned in on Friday are: all reading log pages, the fluency paper, and the homework from Thursday night.
